Novi Anni

THE way, to say goodbye, to dry eye

FAQ

How much blood will they need to donate in order to make these eye drops?

The answer to that question is very little. We can make enough eye drops to last over a month with 60-120 ccs of blood.

Do I have to eat or drink before I give my blood?
Patients do not have to worry about what they have had to eat or drink prior to donating their blood.

I am on blood thinners, does it matter?
It does not matter if you are on  “blood thinners” or anti-platelet medication.

Is there a risk of infection?
The patient’s blood is taken aseptically and processed in sterile disposable processing kits.

How long does the procedure take?
Most often our clinicians can have their drops ready within 40 - 60 minutes.

How long will the drops last?
Our advice is to leave the first bottle in the refrigerator ,and dispose of it after one week.  The other bottles should be frozen until they are needed. Each subsequent bottle should be thawed as needed and then placed in the refrigerator.

Do I need to bring a cooler with me?
Not if you will be returning home after we have processed your eye drops. If you will be out doing errands then Novi Anni will send you home with a cooler.
